This site was created to help keep the public informed about the Army’s ongoing efforts related to environmental investigations and cleanup activities at military installations, with a focus on PFAS. Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) is a major U.S. military installation in western Washington that sits within view of Mount Rainier, which serves as a prominent geographic landmark and scenic backdrop to training activities. JBLM supports force readiness, global deployments, and humanitarian and disaster response operations worldwide.
